The database has information on 17,000 individuals with cancer and/or a family history of cancer, and enrollment continues. The CGN maintains a database on all enrollees who provide information on their:

• sociodemographic characteristics,
• history of cancer and/or premalignant conditions,
• cancer-relevant surgeries,
• 4-generation family cancer pedigree,
• tobacco use, and
• interest in genetic counseling.

This database is supported by the CGN Data Coordinating Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The population makes it possible to conduct research on both common and less common cancers. Please contact the CGN with questions about registry participants.
